Ex marking requirements

The marking that has to appear on the equipment

Explosion protected equipment carries a defined marking string covering the protection type, equipment group, gas or dust group, temperature class and ambient range, together with the certificate number.

We check the nameplate artwork against the certified scope before it is produced.

What this covers

  • Marking string derived from the certified protection concept
  • Nameplate material, durability and placement
  • Warning statements required for specific protection types
  • Artwork review before tooling or printing
