WLAN SRRC

Type approval for Wi-Fi products

WLAN products need SRRC type approval, and the approval is band-specific. The bands opened for civil use in China are not identical to those in Europe or North America, so a product configured for another market can fail before testing starts.

We review the band and channel plan, the transmit power settings and the country-code control in the firmware, then run the type approval on that basis.

What this covers

  • 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz WLAN products, including routers, APs, cameras and appliances
  • Band and channel plan reviewed against what is open for civil use in China
  • Firmware country-code and power control checked before testing
  • Combination products with Bluetooth or a cellular radio covered together
  • Approved-module route available where it shortens the project
