Designated lab testing
Test evidence that supports a valid declaration
A self-declaration has to be supported by testing that meets the requirements of the applicable implementation rule. Depending on the mode, that means testing in a designated laboratory or testing that the manufacturer can demonstrate is equivalent.
We arrange the testing, review the reports before they are relied on, and flag anything that would not stand up to market surveillance.
What this covers
- Selection of an appropriate laboratory for the declaration mode
- Test plan against the applicable GB standards
- Review of existing reports for reusability
- Sample and test-mode preparation
